Research Associate
Eliel Gebru leads Search Institute’s international research and evaluation initiatives and supports the Applied Qualitative Research and Community Mobilization team. Eliel brings her interest and experience in community-based participatory research to programs and initiatives that improve youth outcomes. She is currently engaged in various multi-sited youth workforce development projects in Minnesota and Africa.
Education
Eliel holds masters degrees in Development Practice from the University of Minnesota and in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.
Expertise
Eliel served as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, conducting applied domestic and international research in the areas of workforce development, improving delivery of human services, youth civic engagement, social justice education, and youth entrepreneurship programs.
