Help equip and support asset-building individuals and organizations in your community. Attend the Essentials of Asset Building Training of Trainers Workshop and learn how to create a cadre of trainers that can effectively deliver two core Search Institute workshops. Each workshop may be used alone or as a series (it is not necessary that they be done in sequence), based on the needs of an organization or community. Empowering local trainers can help you build enthusiasm and energy and spread the asset message further, faster, and easier. The use of local trainers can also significantly reduce the costs of providing ongoing training events.

Participants in this workshop will be trained to successfully deliver:

  • Everyone’s an Asset Builder, a 4-hour training that introduces the Developmental Asset framework and invites participants to become asset builders in their personal and professional lives.
  • Sharing the Asset Message, a 4-hour training designed to help asset advocates effectively deliver a variety of asset-building messages to multiple audiences.

Who Should Attend: Experienced trainers who wish to spread the asset message in organizations and communities. The workshop does not focus on basic training skills.

Length: Two 7-1/2 hour days (includes lunch and breaks)

Materials: The Asset Approach brochure, 150 Ways to Show Kids You Care mini-poster, and the You Can Make a Difference brochure (one per participant).

Each individual or team must also purchase the Training Resource Library (a $600 value) at $420 plus shipping. The library includes Search Institute resources relevant to the workshops in the curriculum. Trainers can use these resources to deepen their knowledge and to refer to in trainings. All library materials are packaged in a rolling backpack to provide ease in transporting to training locations (view a complete library list at www.search-institute.org/training/sessions).
