This keynote will focus the importance of promoting resiliency and positive youth development in adolescence. We are all well aware that the risks adolescents face are insurmountable, but Mr. Conway will be highlighting the fact that although injury and prevention work is needed, we also need to shift our focus to promoting successful youth development and resiliency among our youth. This opening keynote will discuss the positive outcomes associated with promoting resiliency (e.g., reduction in risk) and that prevention of injuries alone does not leave adolescents fully prepared to face the world, we need to promote their assets as well!
