Session #39: Building Developmental Assets in School Communities
This workshop describes the connections between Search Institute’s Developmental Assets and student achievement, shows how to build assets for every student and empower educators to initiate, increase, and strengthen the asset-building efforts that already exist in their schools.
Session #40: Powerful Teaching: Added Impact without Added Work i:
This interactive workshop is designed to enable participants to recognize and identify the asset building they are currently doing as part of good teaching practice as well as provide tools, strategies, and resources to strengthen and expand their impact with students. Participants will understand Search Institute’s Developmental Assets® framework; identify the connection between building assets, improved academic achievement, and healthy outcomes; examine instructional practices through the asset-building lens; explore strategies for infusing assets into content areas and existing curricula; explore resources for on-going support.
