This informative and engaging workshop will help asset advocates in your community or organization effectively deliver a variety of asset-building messages to multiple audiences. This training will help them
- clearly describe Search Institute’s Developmental Assets framework and the Healthy Communities • Healthy Youth initiative, and discuss how they relate to other positive youth development efforts;
- identify key asset-building message within time frames of 10-15 minute, 20-30 minute, and 60-90 minute presentations;
- develop engaging presentation strategies to meet the unique needs of any audience;
- effectively use relevant presentation materials, tools, and methods to ensure a successful presentation.
Who Should Attend: People who have expressed an interest in or are excited about the asset framework and have a commitment to sharing the asset message.
Length: 4 hours
Recommended Materials for Each Participant: The Asset Approach booklet and 150 Ways to Show Kids You Care mini-poster. The local coordinator will receive a copy of the Pass It On! book and Speaking of Developmental Assets toolkit.
