Adult-Youth Engagement

A new perspective on generations…

Based on the research from Grading Grown-Ups: American Adults Report on Their Real Relationships With Kids, 2000 and 2002 national studies, the Adult-Youth Engagement survey (AYE) examines adult-youth relationships on a community level. By surveying both adults and youth, your community will gain insight on intergenerational relationships and the influence adults have on young people. The AYE survey measures both youth and adult beliefs on the most important ways to be engaged as well as identifying the level of actual adult engagement with youth. Use the information to encourage adults’ support for engaging youth, or to enhance relationships and trust within your community. Adult and youth surveys must be used together.
