Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota
The Brooklyn Park Champions for Youth Coalition is an unprecedented effort to bring together adults and youth to provide new opportunities for young people in Brooklyn Park. Teens and adults from all segments of the community are working together to come up with real solutions so that all youth in Brooklyn Park have access to caring adults, employment opportunities, and safe places to hang out. Community partnerships are an important part of the Coalition because the topic of youth opportunities is so broad that it is impossible for one group or agency alone to provide an effective and efficient solution. The Coalition brings together the many assets that already exist for youth in our community while collaborating to provide new opportunities.
