The Yorkton Municipal Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Detachment has initiated a Positive Ticketing initiative in partnership with the City of Yorkton and the Yorkton Alliance of Asset Champions. Police officers “catch” youth engaged in good behaviors and “ticket” them with free passes to various activities in the city. These positive tickets allow police officers to initiate healthy and trusting relationships with community youth.
