The Rural Early Year’s Coalition has developed the Rural Asset Inventory Strategy (RAIS) to develop partnerships with rural communities in discerning the Developmental Assets and opportunities of children 0-6 and their families in the Saskatoon Health Region.

The RAIS has been developed to:

  • Create an awareness of existing assets and build on them.
  • Create future plans that are congruent with rural health strategies.
  • Use the strategy as a capacity building effort to engage people who are passionate about the lives of children and their families who live in rural Saskatchewan.
  • Inform policy at various levels.
  • Increase likelihood of program funding.
  • Help communities to build on existing strengths, connections, resources and capacities.
