Positive Tickets

The Positive Ticket idea started with a police officer, Superintendent Ward Clapham (rtd.) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who had a simple vision: “Imagine cops catching kids doing things right…”

Clapham believed police should be on the lookout for the positive in youth, instead of just the negative. The idea was to create positive connections and work with youth in a proactive nature, and try everything possible to prevent crime and tragedy.

One year and forty thousand Positive Tickets later, the proof is in the results.

The Positive Ticket is just the beginning of a multitude of proactive, intentional, and positive activities that can transform communities and shift mindsets and attitudes.

Clapham has now taken his vision of positive police-kid relationships one step further. In addition to transforming police departments and communities, he is now assisting organizations and businesses on ways they can put the Positive Ticket philosophy into action by rewarding and recognizing employees and customers, thereby enhancing the bottom line.
