Our mission is to integrate the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets framework into the local schools and communities in order to encourage leadership, service to others, and a strong sense of self in our youth, while at the same time protecting them from making harmful or unhealthy choices.
Our purpose is to support, promote, and link the asset-building efforts of the schools, families, and community in order to promote positive youth development.

Reaching out to Veterans
Asset building is alive and well in the Pleasanton Unified School District of Pleasanton, California. The district’s asset-building organization, Club 40, involves students of all ages that volunteer to help organize events and programs throughout the district to help spread the word about assets and teach about service-learning. Jennifer Roush, a counselor at Foothill High School and the Got Assets? initiative leader, says that the club is “not just a leadership group.MORE
