Clarkstown, New York
The mission of “Assets Get Active” is to take all that we have learned and integrated from the 40 Developmenatl Assets and apply them to school and community. Every month, we plan and implement a number of events that promote the assets, especially those of acceptance and caring about each other. Our events include a week of random acts of kindness, the making of a video for a young man recently paralyzed, the presentation of “Rachels Challenge” and a school-wide community services fair where we had 20 community service organizations set up tables in our lobby for the day and hundreds of students were able to connect and gather valuable information.
