What is an asset champion?
Asset champions are the individuals and groups that Search Institute depends on to spread the word about the Developmental Assets in communities across the world. Anyone can be an asset champion, whether they run a large community initiative or simply talk to a school principal about bringing the assets into local classrooms.
Why should I be an asset champion?
We do everything that we can to spread the asset message, but we need your help. It’s individuals like you who are responsible for spreading the asset framework around the world by talking to parents, teachers, program leaders, community members, and others about the Developmental Assets. If you believe in what the Developmental Assets can do for kids, you can help!
How do I become an asset champion?
All it takes to be an asset champion is to bring the Developmental Assets to your school or community. Talk to teachers, administrators, program leaders, and local government officials about starting programs that build assets for kids. Send parents to ParentFurther.com to find valuable asset-building advice. Hand out asset-building posters to members of your community to get them thinking about how they can make a difference in the lives of children.
