Cheryl Mayberry, MBA - Vice President of Improvement Science

In her role as Vice President of Improvement Science, Cheryl Mayberry will extend Search Institute’s capabilities to help organizations use data, research, and process improvement to achieve their objectives for young people.

Expertise

Cheryl has more than 20 years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma business consultant, operations manager, corporate auditor, project manager, and process engineer. Her diverse experience covers the private, public, and nonprofit sectors and includes work with General Electric, Target Corporation, Amoco Corporation, Medtronic, Abbott Labs, City of Minneapolis, Anoka County-Minnesota, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities United Way, Harvest Network of Schools, Sanneh Foundation, and the African American Leadership Forum.

As a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Cheryl has worked with organizations to develop and implement customized performance improvement plans. This includes alignment of strategic goals to core processes, organizational design with clear roles and responsibilities, elimination of non-value added activities, and development of repeatable and reliable processes. The ultimate objective is to deliver optimal value to clients at the lowest overall cost to the organization. Cheryl has extensive experience sustaining improvements and bringing transparency to achieving organizational goals with performance measurement systems tailored to data infrastructure and capabilities.
