Asset Building in Education
Why Build Assets in Education
Educators have found that building assets connects well with
five areas of schooling in which they are already working: curriculum
and instruction, school organization, co-curricular activities,
community partnerships and support services. In addition, early
research evidence points to the fact that building assets contributes
to academic achievement.

Transforming Education through Asset-Building
Educational change models reinforce the fact the shifting perspective
and practice takes time and that changing schools begins with awakening
individual educators to new possibilities. Asset-building educators
find ways of incorporating asset-building approaches into promoting
change that make a difference to both the individual student as well as
the school.
