Focus group participants found that spirituality impacts other areas of their child’s life. In particular they believe that spirituality impacts one’s social, academic, and emotional development. Furthermore, in some contexts parents said that children express their spirituality through their successes in life, most often through academic success.
When asked to elaborate on this concept, parents stated:
“In the first place it is [spirituality] the success of the children and their excelling in their studies. This comes in the first place.”

“I feel if [child’s spirituality] from their current situation point of view, the first is their excitement after getting good results. Another is when they can assist their parents with some simple work and get acknowledgment. Able to see their spirituality; my mother praises me, this sort of phenomena”
