Transforming work with Children, Youth, and Families: A Training for Congregational Leaders
Re-envision congregational life and youth work from an asset-building perspective.
Revitalize and reshape programs to better serve youth. Based on six training modules, this workshop can
introduce asset building, strengthen your work with families, connect youth programs to youth in your
community, or increase commitment to asset building. This event features:
- A strong affirmation of the role faith traditions play in promoting positive youth development;
- An asset-based approach to nurture faith development in youth;
- A planning tool that can help assess and strengthen youth and family programs;
- Practical strategies to energize and involve every member for faith-based asset building;
- An asset-based approach to nurturing faith development in youth;
- Assessment of youth and family programs and strategies to strengthen them; and
- Practical strategies for faith-based asset building.
Who Should Attend: For all faith traditions. Clergy, religious youth workers, denominational staff, religious educators, youth in leadership roles in congregations, volunteers, and asset-building champions who work with congregations.
