Faith communities—including churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and other places of worship—have tremendous potential for building assets and nurturing the healthy development of young people. Search Institute seeks to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of the faith community to contribute to young people’s growth in body, mind, and spirit.

New York Times Features Search Institute Project

Inspired to Serve: Youth-Led Interfaith Action was featured in the Giving section of the New York Times on November 10, 2008. The project was a collaboration of Search Institute, Interfaith Youth Core, and four pilot communities, including Philadelphia, which was featured in the Times story. The project was supported by a Learn and Serve America community-based grant.
