Connecticut Assets Network

What is the Connecticut Assets Network?

The Connecticut Assets Network (CAN) exists to “help communities build their capacity for mutually beneficial problem-solving by helping them discover and share the strengths and assets of all their members.”

What does CAN Do?

The Network works to promote asset-building initiatives through the state of Connecticut, and serves as a facilitator and communications hub for many Connecticut-based community initiatives and youth programs. Through networking, training, funding, consultation, and resource exchange, CAN aims to improve the lives of the youth of Connecticut.

How Does Search Institute Work with CAN?

Search Institute has partnered with CAN to offer a powerful resource database that serves to “Connect People with Resources to People with Needs.” By using census data and geo-mapping technologies, the Community Connection Asset Mapping Program (CCAMP) allows community members to greatly increase the efficiency of their work by creating maps of local facilities and volunteers.
