Dear Survey Girl,
I was looking at using the Developmental Assets Profile with my juvenile justice program. What is the difference between the group DAP and the individual DAP?
Sincerely,
Great values Inspire
Dear G v I,
There is no difference between the individual DAP and the group DAP in terms of the survey itself. Both surveys are exactly the same. The differences lie in the scoring and what data you want to yield.
The individual assessment option is intended for qualified clinicians, school counselors, mental health practitioners, and clinical social workers. The scoring manual that accompanies your order of an Individual Introductory Packet includes information for scoring and analyzing the survey on an individual student level.
The group assessment option is appropriate for youth programs in schools, juvenile justice, mental health, and family services settings. Your group scoring manual will include scoring and analyzation on a group aggregate level.
Because of the DAP’s dual uses, the user requirements also differ. Check out the qualification guidelines for group and individual assessment.
Thanks,
